World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

World Book Day is coming up and we will be celebrating this day by doing activities linked to reading. As always, we would like to encourage children to dress up as book characters for the day and this is something that we know they enjoy doing.

Can we also ask for some ‘Extreme Reading’ photos to be sent into school to make a new display in our library. We want to see photos of books being read in unusual places. We would obviously like to see extreme reading by the children, but it is always nice to see the parents / carers joining in so please feel free to take part and let us see the results. We will also be encouraging all of the staff to take part too!

Just make sure you choose a safe place to take your photo but be as creative as you can. If you are unable to print your picture, please let us know and we will be happy to help and also, please make sure your photos are named.

The children will also receive a World Book Day £1 token which will entitle them to get a free £1 book or money off a book costing £2.99 or more.

Thank you again for your continued support.
