Celebrating Success

I am really pleased to be able to share with you a couple of letters we have just received.

The first is from Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP, the Minister of State for School Standards, who wrote to the school to congratulate us on our results in reading at the end of KS2. The results show that 100% of our pupils reached or exceeded the expected standard in reading which puts us in the top 1% of primary schools in the country.

The second letter came from Sir Gary Streeter MP who wrote to the school to congratulate us all on the increase in the number of pupils who have obtained the expected standards in reading, writing and maths.

It is always good to receive the recognition of the success we have at St. Mary’s and I would like to express my thanks to all of the children for their part in this, as well as all the staff who work tirelessly to make sure that, from Reception up to Y6, the vital pieces of the jigsaw are put in place by everyone!

Thank you also for your continued support. The success does rely on staff, children and parents/carers all working together.

Well done.
